My log and sketchbook from the journey to Antarctica which took place in 2005 on Pierre Huyghe invitation. I spent in total 7 weeks on board Tara 5 as we sailed from Ushuaia to Antarctica and back, stayed as the boat made its way through Patagonia and eventually landed in Buenos Aires. The drawings depict the mundane life on board and show seasons changing as the landscape goes from slick icebergs to lush vegetation. Originally produced as a Xerox copy publication for all 17 members of the expedition, it was included in the collection of the Explorers Club in Manhattan in January 2007, the ceremony of which there is also now a certificate in the back.
