Anthrax Nation

A photocopied newspaper, 1:1 scale. Ed. 10. First made as a prototype in 2001, it was produced in an edition at the occasion of the exhibition ‘Copy’, on Neville Wakefield’s invitation at the Roth Horowitz gallery, NYC, May 2002.

This pretty much sums up the year 2001 for me, and it is trying hard to be a real paper. I told the gallerist, Andrew Roth, that before he put it away in its pristine showcase as a collector’s item, he could crumble it up a bit, add some coffee stains and use it to kill some flies.
