| Plane Landing is a sculpture of an airplane in a permanent state of landing. On July 4 and 5, 2008 Plane Landing appeared at the Zurich Airport as part of the show 'Shifting Identities - (Swiss) Art Now', curated by Mirjam Varadinis for Kunsthaus Zurich. The first inflation took place at dawn on the "spotter place" in Oberglatt where plane spotters congregate to watch the planes touch down. The second inflation happened overnight at gate 44 on the actual airport tarmac. In both cases we were blessed with perfect weather conditions, impeccable security arrangements and a fantastic crew from the UK, Switzerland and Sicily combined.
